BBBoiler Welcomes EZEK

EZEK, a Brazilian producer creating dark and melodic techno. His music has been released on labels like Awen Tales, Sequence Music, Duenia, Oniryzm, and more. Below is the interview with EZEK - read more about his inspirations and plans for future.

Blanka Barbara: According to Beatport, you’ve had your music being released since 2016, but 2020 was impressively fruitful for you with 40 tracks being released on 18 labels. How much time does it take you to produce just one track?

EZEK: It was an incredible year, it usually takes me two to three days to produce a track.

BB: When did you start producing music and why did you choose melodic

techno?

E: I started producing in 2015, I chose Melodic from the beginning of my productions. Because I always liked a darker and more introspective sound, but full of melodies.

BB: Did you have any musical idols when you were growing up?

E: We all have some idol and inspiration. My idol when I started was Erly Tepshi, I always liked his work a lot!

BB: What was your favourite track of yours released in 2020? Where did you find inspiration to create it and what defines your sound?

E: My favourite track was Metamorphosis, I started producing it wanting a dark environment, but at the same time with a touch of elegance. I always try to get inspired by researching and listening to other tracks.

BB: Who would your dream collab be with?

E: It would definitely be with Erly Tepshi.

BB: What hopes, dreams and goals do you have for 2021 and further?

E: My dream is to reach more and more places with my productions and open a label. A part of it is becoming reality on March 27, the first VA of my label comes out in partnership with ECHOES, our label will be called Concept Records.
