Coming from a classical composer’s background, Blanka puts musicality and enchanting storytelling through music first. Carefully steered sonic and emotional experiences are an integral part of her productions, live performances and DJ sets.


After a successful series of weekly livestreams on Twitch, Blanka Barbara has matured into becoming a much-wanted guest performer. She became resident DJ at 4AM Events, Stone Beats DJs, livestreamed for April2July at Bloop London, became a Proton Curator DJ and is also hosting her own radio show Blanka Barbara Welcomes on Data Transmission Radio. Blanka Barbara livestreamed an intricate progressive set as part of the Women Strike (Strajk Kobiet) movement – Strike Back, a 24h stream in support of women rights in Poland – on 12-13 December 2020.

 

In the post-pandemic reality, Blanka Barbara has already performed at the Ministry of Sound, The Steelyard, Cyberdog, Low Profile Studios, and will make a much-anticipated return to perform for PM:AM Events later in 2022.

Blanka Barbara’s current releases are a statement to melodic techno-inspired progressive explorations. Her newest EP Predicting the Future released on prestigious Freegrant Music has gained substantial support from respected DJs including Cosmic Gate, Basil O’Glue, and Cid Inc. who performed the title track during his Desert in Me Festival appearance in November 2021.

 

Most recent releases include tracks reaching Top10 in Progressive House genre charts on Beatport: Amabie on Particles, Starwalk on Mango Alley, Lost in Digital Fog on Eat My Hat Music. Blanka Barbara's track Lights of London, an ode to London's underground dance music scene and celebrating its reopening, was a subject of the remix competition organised by LSA Records and released on the label along with the winning remixes in September 2021. More of Blanka Barbara's much-anticipated tracks & remixes creating a buzz in the industry will appear on prestigious labels such as Balkan Connection, ICONYC Noir, Modern Agenda and Harabe Lab in 2022.
